Teaching Assistant Opportunity in KS1

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to join our team in a primary school in the LE3 area. As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning within the KS1 team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver academic interventions to pupils working below age expected levels
  • Deliver phonics sessions using ReadWriteInc every day
  • Support the teaching and learning within the classroom
  • Work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who present with additional needs
  • Liaise with the class teacher around progress of the pupils
  • Run guided reading sessions two times per week

We are looking for an individual with a passion for education and a strong understanding of phonics and its delivery in primary schools. If you have previous experience of working within KS1 and are able to support pupils with SEN, we would love to hear from you.
