We are seeking a People Development Specialist to drive our talent management strategy forward. This role comes with a competitive salary package of up to £36k per annum, plus car allowance.

About the Job

In this critical position, you will play a key role in upgrading leadership capabilities, developing robust policies, and building a strong people-centric culture at Bright Horizons. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of our People element, Mission in Motion ('The Plan'), by developing and implementing effective leadership development programs;
  • Collaborating with HR Consultants to manage high-volume employee relations cases and provide guidance on complex matters;
  • Utilizing HR KPI data to focus attention on priority issues and inform strategic decisions;
  • Designing and delivering training and coaching initiatives to promote a high-performance culture;
  • Gathering evidence to support disciplinary and grievance hearings;
  • Managing HR administration tasks, including report production, contracts, and references.

You will work closely with our Operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of policies and procedures, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees. Your ability to travel within the UK and adapt to changing priorities will be essential in this role.

Key Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should have:

  • A qualification in HR – CIPD (evidence of continuous professional development);
  • Relevant education; and
  • Experience managing complex employee relations caseloads, preferably in a multi-site environment.

Familiarity with employment legislation, EU directives, and regulatory requirements is also desirable. If you have business coaching qualifications, experience in HR advisory roles, or significant exposure to diverse employee relations cases, your application will be even stronger.
