Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out structural surveys and provide detailed reports, assessments, and design solutions.
  • Provide detailed design advice to project/programme managers/supervisors for major construction projects and programmes.
  • Achieve programme objectives through the application of appropriate project methodology.
  • Be responsible for providing the following services:
    • Site inspections, structural surveys, and reports on work in progress.
    • Drawings, specifications, and schedules of rates.
    • Surveys and technical reports.
    • Making Building Regulation, planning, and other applications.
    • Certifying payments.
    • Updating job records.
    • Advice on forms of building contracts and consultants agreements.
    • Assist in the preparation of reports to Boards or Committees.
    • Leaseholder Notices.
    • Act as a professional witness in court cases.
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent levels of communication with customers from end to end of the service, project, or programme.
  • Ensure Health and Safety, CDM Regs responsibilities are met by in-house and external contractors.
  • Monitor the delivery and quality of work carried out, in order to maximise customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and accurately report project expenditure and costs against budgets.

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of changes in construction policy, legislation, case law, innovation, and best practice.
  • Ability to maintain excellent levels of communication with customers.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
