About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Management Specialist to join our MEP team in London. As a Senior M&E Cost Consultant - Project Lead, you will play a key role in delivering cost consultancy services to our clients, working closely with the account director and other team members to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of cost plans and estimates, and support the presentation of these documents to clients
  • Present cost plans and estimates to clients, explaining and agreeing approaches to project risks and uncertainties
  • Lead procurement activities and contract formation, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently
  • Manage the entire post-contract delivery process, including change control and valuation, progress valuations, cost reports, and final accounts
  • Undertake general project strategy shaping and client handling, ensuring that all client needs are met and exceeded
  • Prepare cost plans and estimates, and conduct tender analysis for the purpose of contractor appointments and data capture for benchmarking and future cost plans
  • Assume a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects, and liaise with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
  • Represent and act as an ambassador for the company in a professional and confidence-inspiring manner, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
Requirements
  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) would be ideal
  • Technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy
  • Pre and post-contract experience including cost planning and procurement
  • Good technical writing, strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, self-starting, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
  • Ability to take on a leadership role as part of personal development planning
  • NEC experience beneficial
  • Travel may be required across The Republic of Ireland, the UK, and Europe
