Job Overview

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Catering Services Operative to join our team in York.

Main Duties
  • Deliver food to and serve patient food to ward areas
  • Use ward ovens to regenerate food
  • Keep the ward kitchen clean
  • Monitor food temperatures as part of HACCP
  • Wash up and other general cleaning duties
  • Work in cold rooms to pick and seal patient food and work in pot wash
Requirements
  • Good basic education including reading and writing plus basic numeric skills
  • Basic understanding or willingness to complete appropriate qualifications and training including Food Hygiene Level 2
