Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Aseptic Processing Specialist to join our team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of Parenteral Nutrition and other injectable products, as well as the training of new starters in these critical production techniques.

Main Duties

The postholder will carry out specialist aseptic dispensing and in-process checking in a professional manner, providing a high-quality, customer-oriented service to the required standards. Additionally, the postholder will be required to take part in the training of Pharmacy Production Assistants in aseptic techniques and Good Manufacturing Practice.

Education/Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Aseptic Processing Course and extensive experience of aseptic processing

Desirable Criteria

  • SMT in Aseptics or working towards this
  • NVQ3 Pharmacy Qualification

Skills/Abilities

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills

Experience/Knowledge

Desirable Criteria

  • Staff supervision

Applicant Requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
