Role Overview

As an Assistant Manager at Halfords, you will play a key role in driving business performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with the Centre Manager to provide productive management and leadership, focusing on profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technicians and sales staff to achieve business objectives
  • Develop and implement effective coaching and training programs to enhance team performance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations
  • Manage daily sales and customer service operations
  • Collaborate with the Centre Manager to drive business growth and improvement

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £26,780 to £32,136 per annum
  • An average uncapped bonus of £7,100 per year
  • 5 days a week, with opportunities for overtime
  • A range of benefits, including 5.6 weeks' annual leave, discounts on garage bills and retail products, and access to a cycle to work scheme

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a management or leadership role, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach and develop team members
  • Technical knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Valid driving license
