We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Engineer to join our Quality and Assurance team for the HS2 project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all HS2 works information, standards, and contract technical requirements.

The role will involve leading technical assurance from detailed design through to handover, ensuring that Balfour Beatty VINCI can demonstrate compliance with all HS2 works information, standards, and contract technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the management of QMS on major projects in the construction industry, as well as experience of Technical Assurance, Handover, and Certification.

The successful candidate will also have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma, and be able to anticipate potential quality risks and implement or process preventive measures to limit these risks.

Additionally, the candidate will be experienced in the use of project information tools and management systems, including MS Office and web-based collaboration technologies for project information and process management.

The role also requires a Safety Committed (CSCS card, SMSTS or similar) and a driving license.

Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture between two powerhouses for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport, and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond.

Our work with HS2

Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:

  • 3km of viaducts
  • 2 twin bore tunnels and 2 cut and cover tunnels
  • 28 underbridges and 11 underpasses
