About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Winsford. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a designated resource provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 and group basis to help boost their development in core subjects.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting pupils.

Requirements:

  • Strong background working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to process one).
