About the Role

The Junior Simulator Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and support of a range of Full Flight Simulators and lower-level training devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled simulator maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and resolution of electrical/software and hardware defects.
  • Test aircraft systems for fault investigation and perform functions relative to maintaining Aircraft and Simulator software.
  • Install software/hardware updates and record update testing, as well as maintain the Simulator Software Configuration Management System.
  • Assist with annual re-certification activities, simulator setup, and pre-flight checks.
  • Manage spares stock and outsourced repairs, and provide advice and assistance in all areas of maintenance and support of the simulator.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum BTEC/HTQ OND/ONC level or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Proven electrical, electronic, and mechanical theoretical knowledge, supplemented with practical systems experience.
  • Proactive and able to act on own initiative, with methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with IT literacy and MS Office proficiency.
