We are a leading construction consultancy in Milton Keynes, seeking a skilled Cost Manager to join our team.

As a Cost Manager, you will be working on a range of industry-leading schemes across various sectors, including education, healthcare, leisure, retail, and residential.

Job Objectives:

  1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders involved in our projects.
  2. Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  3. Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion, aligning with budget requirements.
  4. Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
  5. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  6. Effectively manage contract changes, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practices.
  7. Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  8. Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  9. Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  10. Lead people and commissions as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

You will be an experienced Cost Manager or a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator looking to transition into Cost Management. Key skills and qualifications include:
