We are seeking an exceptional Band 6 Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to take on a more senior role within our critical care department. As a Band 6 Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care to patients, assessing their needs, developing and implementing care plans, and leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care, develop your leadership and management skills, and contribute to the development of our critical care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality, effective, individualized care to all patients that is compassionate and caring.
  • To assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate them without supervision.
  • To assist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team.
  • To deputize for the Senior Nurse when required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC registration as a nurse.
  • A teaching qualification such as SSSA or Mentorship in Practice, or equivalent experience.
  • 60-credit critical care course.
