As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for joining our existing Network Security team in tandem with the SOC, looking for exposure to vulnerabilities, setting up, maintaining, patching and upgrading customers\u2019 firewalls, and actively working on client firewalls.
Key Responsibilities:
* Join the existing Network Security team in tandem with the SOC
* Look for exposure to vulnerabilities
* Set up, maintain, patch and upgrade customers\u2019 firewalls
* Actively work on client firewalls
* Complete firewall upgrades
* Run IPS and IDS
* Perform log reviews
* General BAU, e.g., VPN creation
* Face a variety of clients and help set up, maintain, monitor and secure their networks
* Deal appropriately with major incidents
* Make sure appropriate steps are in place and followed for the remediation of vulnerabilities
* Perform safe upgrades and patches where required
* Provide accurate and informed security insights internally and with the organisation\u2019s customers
* Make sure levels of incident response are appropriate
Requirements:
* Good background in Network Security within a large scale complex organisation
* Experience setting up, maintaining and upgrading firewalls
* In-depth experience of any of the following: Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Checkpoint or Palo Alto is crucial
* Experience within a large scale, complex organisation is necessary - managed service/consultancy/B2B prior experience would be highly beneficial too
* Recent experience dealing with major incidents with networks and firewalls
* Top-end salaries for this role will require some industry certifications (e.g. Fortinet NSE 4/NSE 5/NSE 6/NSE 7, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP) and in-depth experience of the above
* Eligibility to get SC clearance
