Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive Opportunity

Oculus Legal Group is seeking an exceptional Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our team in Leicester. We are looking for a solicitor or someone with 2+ years post-qualification experience who has a solid background in Residential Property matters and wishes to make a move into this exciting and continually growing area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload, including sales, purchases, transfers, and re-mortgages of residential leasehold and freehold property (registered, unregistered, new builds)
  • Carry out lease extensions and auction transactions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and introducers
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external audits
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues
  • Follow our firm's detailed policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive and sound experience of working in residential conveyancing, including complex aspects
  • Working knowledge of referral arrangements and strong awareness of compliance issues
  • Business development skills
  • IT literacy with an understanding and willingness to pioneer and embrace system development to build efficiencies
  • Experience of building relationships with new and existing clients and professionals
