Job Summary

Caterlink is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Catering Assistant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, providing excellent customer service to our students, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food and snacks to our students, ensuring that all meals are presented in a clean and appetizing manner.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen and restaurant area, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking, serving, and clearing tables.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our students, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in food safety training and adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols.
  • Cover absences in other Caterlink primary schools in Felixstowe, requiring a car for this role.

Requirements

  • Passion for delivering an efficient service to our students, while maintaining high standards of customer service and food safety.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and management.
  • Basic food preparation and cooking skills, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Reliable transportation, with a car required for covering absences in other schools.
