Billing and Invoicing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Billing and Invoicing Specialist to join our team at Arcus Solutions. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the effective capture and recording of all materials and sub-contractor costs on to our company billing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with internal functions and departments, as well as external suppliers, to ensure purchase invoices are received, captured, and recorded on to our company billing systems in a timely manner.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely submission of required paperwork and invoices.
  • Proactively pursue sub-contractors to ensure that required paperwork and accompanying invoices are submitted within the required timeframe.
  • Capture all costs that fall outside of scope and which are fully chargeable on our client systems to recover.
  • Provide reporting to the Commercial Analyst on rejected work orders, enabling review and escalation as needed.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on cost recovery ratios, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending implementation.
  • Ensure work orders are moved to EOL within required time scales to achieve company KPIs.
  • Assist the credit controller with issuing invoices for other areas as required to maximise cash receipts.
  • Provide ad-hoc management information and reports upon request.
  • Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports as and when requested.
  • Continuously review processes and procedures, as well as systems, for efficiencies and to ensure fit for purpose.
  • Document processes to preserve company knowledge upon request.
  • Train new staff as and when required.

You will have extensive Sales Ledger experience gained within a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail will be second to none, and you will have the ability to retain information at pace. Experience in using systems such as Verisae, Aeromark, and Infor is advantageous.

You will have excellent Excel skills and be able to work with several different systems, with the ability to pick up how to use new systems at pace.

We offer a competitive salary, up to £27,000 - £33,000 dependent on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including a discretionary bonus scheme, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays, and a Group personal pension scheme.
