Strategic Planning and Policy Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Council's approach to strategic planning, policy and performance, working closely with the Head of Business Intelligence and Governance and Deputy Head of Business Intelligence and Governance, as well as the Council's senior management and members to ensure that policy and performance is effectively prioritised, planned, resourced and delivered to expected timescales and agreed outcomes in line with a range of legislative requirements.
The postholder will lead the Council's implementation of statutory legislation, such as the Local Government and Elections Act 2021 (notably Part 6) and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, and act as an advocate for the Five Ways of Working.
