Restaurant and Bar Manager

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to join our team at Ashdown Appointments. We are looking for a visionary leader to spearhead the opening and success of a brand-new venue in the hospitality industry.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing restaurants and bars, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented individuals, creating a fun and dynamic work environment, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the restaurant, bar, and private dining teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement effective operational systems and procedures to ensure seamless day-to-day management.
  • Nurture a talented team of superheroes, with a training program to ensure retention and promotion from within.
  • Work closely with the sustainability project manager to lead the hospitality commitment to sustainability and ultimately achieve a B-Corp application.
  • Guide and implement policies, procedures, and systems to improve overall business operations and service.
  • Ensure effective hands-on day-to-day management and problem-solving for events departments.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience in managing restaurants and bars with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.
  • Can create a fun and dynamic work environment without compromising on a first-class customer experience.
  • Has a strong knowledge of food and wine, with the ability to think big and roll up their sleeves when needed.
  • Is an experienced, influential leader with good commercial awareness and a strong knowledge of Human Resources disciplines.
  • Has excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to form strong relationships and take people with them.
  • Is self-motivated, presenting solutions and passionate about personal development and learning.
  • Has high levels of integrity and personal discipline, with a strong ability to work under pressure.
