Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Teaching Assistant to join our HSA Locums team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our educators in providing an inclusive and effective learning environment for all students.

About the Position
  • Work closely with experienced teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to students, ensuring they understand the material and can apply it effectively.
  • Support children with special educational needs, including those on the autism spectrum, by implementing individualised learning plans.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative learning environment.
Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a safe and organised classroom, preparing materials and resources as needed.
  • Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers on individual student needs.
  • Participating in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to teaching and mentoring.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students of varying ages and backgrounds.
  • A patient and nurturing attitude towards teaching, with a genuine desire to educate and inspire young learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including health insurance, pension scheme, and access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
