Job Summary

Tigerlily Childcare Berks and Bucks is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Room Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for our children, promoting their learning and development, and contributing to the overall success of our nursery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguarding and Welfare: Maintain a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Leadership and Management: Direct and manage a team of room assistants, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure high-quality care and education.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the nursery's curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all children and aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Parent Communication: Prepare and carry out parent meetings, maintaining open and effective communication with parents and carers to ensure they are informed about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the nursery team to achieve shared goals and objectives, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with current developments and statutory guidance, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues to ensure the nursery remains at the forefront of early years education.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification, such as a Diploma in Early Years Education and Care.
  • Paediatric First Aid: Possess a current Paediatric First Aid certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
