About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our Outpatient Department at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake clerical duties and provide hands-on care, assistance, and emotional support to patients and their relatives.
  • Perform phlebotomy, PICC, and Port access and care procedures.
  • Assist clinicians with endoscopic procedures, cleaning, safe handling, and storage of endoscopes.
  • Observe, record, and report patient information, including urinalysis, BM recording, and ECG recording.
  • Prepare for clinics and maintain high standards of documentation and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Good general education and literacy and numeracy skills or willingness to work towards obtaining.
  • Working towards or prepared to work towards obtaining an apprenticeship in clinical healthcare.
  • National Care Certificate holder.
  • Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker desirable.
