Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on care, assistance, and emotional support to patients and their relatives. They will also be involved in performing phlebotomy, PICC and Port access and care, and assisting clinicians with endoscopic procedures. Excellent communication skills and experience of working as a Band 3 healthcare support worker with phlebotomy experience are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality care and support to patients and their families
  • Performing phlebotomy, PICC and Port access and care
  • Assisting clinicians with endoscopic procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Good general education and literacy and numeracy skills
  • Working towards or prepared to work towards obtaining an apprenticeship in clinical healthcare
  • National Care Certificate
  • Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker (desirable)
