Job Summary:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead our team of geotechnical engineers and provide expertise in land development engineering and environmental consulting services. We are looking for a skilled professional who can manage client interaction, provide staff training and project leadership, and prepare technical reports and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with office leadership to develop business strategies and optimize staff utilization;
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight of geotechnical design, including foundation design, excavation planning, and ground improvement;
  • Utilize advanced analytical software, such as 3D FE software like Plaxis, to inform geotechnical decisions;
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members to enhance their skills and performance;
  • Develop and manage project proposals, coordinate projects, and oversee client relationships;
  • Offer technical expertise during construction projects to ensure successful outcomes;
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, adhering to budgets, schedules, and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, and a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering;
  • Significant experience in geotechnical investigations and construction inspections;
  • Proven track record of investigation and field work coordination, geotechnical reporting, and specification writing;
  • Field experience in earthwork, driven piles, load testing, footings, ground improvements, retaining walls, and excavation support systems;
  • Familiarity with desired software tools: gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, SHAKE;
  • Some field work is expected, and a valid driver's license is required.

Compensation: Salary range $140,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
