Job Title: Quality and Health/Safety Coordinator

Teignbridge Propellers Int Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Quality and Health/Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our QHSE department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Group QHSE Manager in planning and arranging quality inspections, both internally and externally with classification societies.
  • Arrange calibration of measurement equipment and regulatory inspections for H&S.
  • Coordinate department H&S inspections with section leaders and work with all sections to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Contact classification societies for quotes to undertake inspections.
  • Review the WIP list in advance and book upcoming inspections and classification surveys.
  • Prepare document packs for external inspections and classification surveys.
  • Update the survey spreadsheet for inspection and manage weekly survey spreadsheet for sales and accounts.
  • Finalize survey costs, progressing certificates and invoices with class societies.
  • Create final document packs for customers.
  • Support with ISO 9001 quality audits and maintaining the quality manual.
  • Publish quality metrics.
  • Arrange and book training courses for employees.
  • Arrange department H&S inspections with department leads and add findings to the system for maintenance works.
  • Arrange visits, site inspections, statutory inspections, and insurance checks with outside contractors.
  • Ensure the site health and safety boards are kept up to date.
  • Completion of risk assessments and safe system of work.
Requirements:
  • Two years' experience in a quality & health and safety role.
  • H&S training.
  • Good scheduling and planning skills.
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting safety behaviour.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Organised and able to meet tight deadlines with excellent time management skills.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing patterns of work demand.
  • Ability to understand the importance of processing information in a prompt, efficient manner and in accordance with legislation, policy and procedure.
