About the Role

Falmouth Exeter Plus is seeking a skilled Help Desk Specialist to join their IT Service Desk team. This role will be primarily based at our Penryn Campus with occasional support required at other campuses.

The IT Service Desk team provides first-line technical support for staff and students across Falmouth University, University of Exeter, The Students Union, and FX Plus. As a Help Desk Specialist, you will resolve user issues using knowledge provided by other technical support teams, identify emerging issues, and escalate them to the relevant area.

This role reports to the Service Desk Manager and requires excellent customer service skills to provide support to staff and students. The successful candidate will have experience working in a first-line support role, desktop environments for Windows and/or MacOS, and Microsoft Office 365 products and services.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working in a first-line support role
  • Experience supporting desktop environments for Windows and/or MacOS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products and services
  • Customer Service experience via telephone and face-to-face support

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
