Clinical Lead/Director of Nursing

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Oxfordshire Lung Cancer Screening Programme, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. This will involve managing the day-to-day operations of the service, including the assessment process, service improvement initiatives, and implementation and evaluation of local and national programme standards and service protocols.
Key Duties- Provide high-profile, accessible, and responsive leadership with clinical, staff, and service responsibility for delivering Oxfordshire's Lung Cancer Screening Programme.
- Facilitate innovative and evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership and direction of the clinical team.
- Act as a credible and professional role model, encouraging and empowering other staff to develop both personally and professionally and achieve their maximum potential.
- Make informed decisions within their own area and scope of professional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed standards, objectives, and targets are met.
- Deliver exceptional treatment and care to patients throughout their screening process.
- Act as the Responsible Assessor for the TLHC service, ensuring the service is delivered in accordance with national protocols and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in leading clinical teams and managing services. They will be able to demonstrate the ability to work at level 7 and 8 (expert) within the RCN Pain KSF for the Nursing Team.
They will also be able to provide individualized advice, education, and support to patients and their carers, to manage their care effectively. Additionally, they will be able to ensure that ordering of supplies and equipment for the TLHC service is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The candidate will be able to lead and manage the day-to-day provision of the TLHC service, promote communication between the multi-disciplinary members of the team, and act as a resource on all aspects of TLHC, using current research to underpin clinical practice.
They will also be able to ensure that all applicable Trust policies and guidelines are adhered to, and abide by the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the Trust's strategy, in conjunction with the service Leads, and demonstrate the ability to work at level 7 and 8 (expert) within the RCN Pain KSF for the Nursing Team.
