We're seeking a talented expert to lead our AI and data science initiatives. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and deploying AI solutions that directly contribute to our strategy. This encompasses data exploration, preparation, and the creation of cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning models. You'll guide a global team of data scientists, oversee AI-driven solution design, and ensure high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and mentor a global team of data scientists, fostering collaboration, innovation, and clear objectives.
  2. Coordinate the development of AI and machine learning solutions in line with product roadmaps and various business use cases, from conception to deployment.
  3. Translate complex business problems into data science plans that contribute to high-impact business cases.
  4. Promote technical excellence, standard methodologies in data science, model validation, and explainability, focusing on accuracy and performance.
  5. Ensure responsible AI practices and guidelines, maintaining transparency, fairness, and accountability in all AI and machine learning projects, while adhering to stringent privacy and data protection standards.
  6. Collaborate with teams across the company to align AI initiatives with business goals and communicate complex technical concepts in simple, actionable terms.
  7. Continuously research and implement new AI and machine learning techniques to improve capabilities, ensuring Swift remains at the forefront of AI innovation in the financial industry.
  8. Lead project scope, timelines, and prioritization, ensuring successful AI project delivery on time and within scope.

Requirements

  1. 5-10 years of hands-on experience in developing and delivering in-house AI solutions across various use cases.
  2. Deep understanding of the end-to-end AI development lifecycle, including data analysis, preparation, modeling, and deployment.
  3. Expertise in traditional machine learning models and advanced deep learning techniques, with a strong grasp of model explainability.
  4. Proficiency in new machine learning methodologies and tools, with a proven track record of learning and adapting to emerging AI technologies.
  5. Proven expertise in integrating responsible AI principles and robust privacy/data protection measures in AI solution design, build, and deployment, with a track record of high operational standards.
  6. Strong experience in analyzing complex business problems and translating them into structured data science projects and AI-powered solutions.
  7. A track record of successfully leading and managing global data science teams, focusing on collaboration, mentorship, and delivering results.
  8. Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical findings into business insights and align projects with strategic objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Advanced degree (MSc, Ph.D., or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Certifications in machine learning, data science, or AI.
  3. Experience in the financial services industry.
  4. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ever-evolving technological landscape.
