Job Title: Pediatric Diabetes Care Leader

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as a Pediatric Diabetes Care Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate nurse to shape the future of paediatric diabetes care and lead a dynamic team dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people living with diabetes.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in paediatric nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate their team to deliver exceptional care experiences. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with clinicians, nursing professionals, psychologists, and dietitians to provide specialised care for children and adolescents navigating the complexities of type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of diabetes care standards, collaborating with clinical leads, and participating in patient management. With a clinical caseload of 50%, you will be hands-on in delivering high-quality care that makes a real difference in our young patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a dynamic team of nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional care experiences for children and young people living with diabetes.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical leads to shape the future of diabetes care standards and participate in patient management.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload of 50% and be hands-on in delivering high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Degree in healthcare (or equivalent).
  • Qualification in management/leadership.
  • Recognised teaching / mentorship / education qualification.
  • Non-medical prescribing.

The estimated salary for this role is £83,000 per annum, plus a competitive benefits package including a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities, and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities.
