Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our employability team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support to young people, helping them to achieve their goals and overcome barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver employability programmes for young people, focusing on skills development, job readiness, and career progression.
  • Work closely with young people to understand their needs, goals, and aspirations, and provide tailored support to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including programme managers, coaches, and mentors, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Contribute to the development of new programme initiatives, including design, planning, and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including employers, education providers, and community organizations, to enhance programme delivery and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in youth development, employability, or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality support to young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Strong programme management skills, with the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate programmes that meet the needs of young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the local community, including its needs, challenges, and opportunities, and a commitment to addressing these through programme delivery.
