Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nature Conservation Manager to join our team at Allied Healthcare. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the management of an Ecology Centre, three Local Nature Reserves, and the Nature Conservation Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the Nature Conservation Officers and Nature Conservation Apprentice in the implementation of conservation programs and projects.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities to individual staff members to ensure the effective management of the Ecology Centre and Local Nature Reserves.
  • Oversee the Biodiversity Action Plan and provide ecological advice to the Planning Department to ensure the conservation of natural habitats and species.
  • Manage the Ecology Centre as an education and visitor centre to promote nature conservation and sustainable living, ensuring the centre's opening times meet the needs of customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the biodiversity of the Local Nature Reserves and promote the conservation of natural habitats and species.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in nature conservation and management of conservation programs and projects.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team of conservation officers and apprentices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders, including the Planning Department and local communities.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to enhance biodiversity and promote conservation.
