The Directorate of Navy Acquisition is responsible for managing the Navy's major acquisition programmes. As a Programme Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering the support acquisition portfolio, working closely with the Future Support Acquisition (FSA) team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver support solutions for the Navy's acquisition programmes.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver programme objectives, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate programme risks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including programme sponsors, customers, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Defence acquisition and support policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) competences.
- Association for Project Management Qualifications.
- Experience/working knowledge and understanding of operational maritime support delivery, preferably within RN, MoD Delivery Agents or Naval Base environments.
- Understanding of Defence programmes, requirements management, assurance and approval processes.
- Competence and experience of successful Defence/Government Project and Programme management, preferably with APM-P/MSP Practitioner disciplines.
