Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Fluid Power Controls Engineer is to provide design, development, maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting for pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, and coolant control systems for gear manufacturing machines. This role requires collaboration with other engineering groups to facilitate a systems engineering approach to machine design. The successful candidate will have experience with Creo for 3D modeling, schematic masters, and master BOMs. They will also be responsible for providing part specification changes, interfacing with assembly methods, and prioritizing and addressing engineering issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, maintain, document, and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, and coolant control systems for gear manufacturing machines.
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups to facilitate a systems engineering approach to machine design.
  • Use Creo for 3D modeling of components and systems.
  • Provide part specification changes based on customer interactions.
  • Interface with assembly methods to apply the appropriate part coding and documentation.
  • Prioritize and address engineering issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hydraulic or Fluid Power Engineering or other Engineering degree with at least one year of Fluid Power Design Experience.
  • Proven ability to design Fluid Control Systems.
  • Proven ability to size and specify controls components for optimum performance, safety, longevity, and value.
  • Experience with EPLAN, SAP, Creo, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with gear manufacturing machines and related accessories.
  • Knowledge of gear and transmission design software.
  • Experience with gear metrology equipment and automation systems.
