Nationwide Platforms is the UK's leading powered access rental company, providing a vast fleet of 15,500+ machines across 38 depots nationwide. We are seeking a skilled and experienced mobile equipment engineer to join our team in Rochester, Borough of Medway.

As a Workshop Service Engineer with Nationwide Platforms, you will work within a busy depot to inspect, repair, and maintain our powered access machines, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements. With comprehensive training provided, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant general engineering maintenance qualifications, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, and experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics fault finding. A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus benefits, will be offered to successful candidates.

About the Role
  1. Support the Senior Service Engineer in maintaining the effective operation of the Depot workshop within the region.
  2. Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot, adhering to manufacturer specifications, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  3. Repair machines at depot or on-site as required, ensuring conformance with manufacturer specifications and company policies.
  4. Act as an ambassador for the company, providing exceptional customer care and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
  5. Update system records on machine status changes, including PDI completion, machine under repair, and 6-monthly statutory inspection completion.
