JOB TITLE: Clinical Disability Assessor

At Capita HAAS, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Disability Assessor to join our team. As a Clinical Disability Assessor, you will play a vital role in evaluating the permanent disablement of individuals affected by Troubles-Related Incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical functional assessments to determine the level of permanent disablement caused by a Troubles-Related Incident(s)
  • Produce a structured assessment report to support the Victims Payments Board (VPB) decision-making process
  • Collaborate with applicants, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to gather relevant information and evidence
  • Compile comprehensive reports, including a detailed history, justification, and conclusion, to support VPB decision-making

Requirements:

  • Fully registered medical practitioner or registered with a regulatory body with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
  • Valid full driving license and access to a car
  • Background in Mental Health/Psychiatric specialty
  • Strong analytical skills, report writing, and IT skills
  • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales
