About the Role

As a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing leadership and mentorship to the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring a person-centred environment. You will adhere to risk assessment protocols and risk management within our service, and have overall responsibility for patient treatment plans, liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and follow-up of outpatients
  • Prescribe medication, monitor, and stabilise medication
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team and provide cohesiveness, consistency, and continuity
  • Internal continuity and communication between disciplines, collaborative MDT working
Requirements
  • Recent experience with acute Psychiatry
  • Relevant experience within a similar setting and working with adults aged 18+
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act
  • Ability to work alongside and lead a multidisciplinary team
  • In-depth knowledge of Mental Health Legislation
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management principles
