About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Frontline Intervention Specialist to join our team at Red Snapper Recruitment Limited. As a dedicated professional, you will provide vital support to children who have been affected by domestic abuse.

This is a part-time, 15 hours per week position, with a salary of £8,923.29 - £9,369.36 part-time pro rata. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions in various locations across Sandwell.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one interventions, group work, and advice to build resilience in children and young people.
  • Ensure all interventions are age-appropriate, child-led, and culturally sensitive.
  • Provide awareness on healthy relationships, confidence, self-esteem, and emotional management.
  • Create a safe space for young people to share their experiences and thoughts.
  • Identify warning signs of controlling or abusive behavior.
  • Evaluate and assess families for the suitability of the Dart Programme.
  • Make referrals and collaborate with other services for optimal outcomes.

Person Specification:

  • GCSEs English and Mathematics - Grade C or above.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject, preferably working with children.
  • Experience working with children, acknowledging safeguarding concerns, and responding appropriately.
  • Experience handling a caseload and using risk assessments and intervention tools.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and health and safety compliance.
