Clinical Coding Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coding Lead to join our esteemed coding team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical coding services to support the business needs of the Trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality clinical coding services to ensure accurate translation and input of medical terminology.
- Acting as an expert Clinical Coder, guided by occupational policies, assisting coders with complex coding queries, and providing expert advice to other departments on coding issues.
- Leading the coding team assigned to support a specific area of Clinical work, ensuring that coding deadlines are met, and working with senior staff within the department to ensure that staff are adhering to national and local coding standards, policies, and guidelines.
Requirements:
- National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC degree level)
- Coding Foundation Diploma including specialty workshops: Neoplasm, Vascular, Obstetrics, T & O
- Have attended a refresher course
- Evidence of Continuing professional development
Desirable qualifications include ECDL, Approved Clinical Coding Auditor, and other relevant qualifications.
