About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Reporting Manager to join our Geoconsultancy team in Great Yarmouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining geotechnical data presentation and ensuring the team understands new acquisition methodologies in the offshore geotechnical industry.

As a Geotechnical Reporting Manager, you will lead and manage a team of project engineers, providing day-to-day leadership and management, including performance management, coaching, and performance appraisal. You will also oversee technical input and quality control of geotechnical data during a project, ensuring it meets industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical methodologies and processing and reporting processes in line with current industry standards
  • Provide leadership and management to a team of geotechnical project engineers, including performance management, coaching, and performance appraisal
  • Oversee technical input and quality control of geotechnical data during a project, ensuring it meets industry standards and client specifications
  • Coordinate and manage the submission of Geotechnical Reports in a timely manner
  • Understand the full life cycle of an offshore site investigation project, from tendering to final deliverables, including a full laboratory programme including advanced testing
  • Develop methodologies, calculations, and deliverables in line with industry standards and client requirements
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the tendering process to assist when the Head of Geo-Consultancy is absent
  • Understand and be responsible for safety in the working environment
  • Assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by the line manager

Requirements:

  • High level of experience in offshore geotechnical data acquisition
  • Quality control and processing/interpretation of CPT data and seabed samples
  • Production of geotechnical reports
  • Knowledge of technical methodologies and maintaining current processing and reporting processes in line with current industry standards
  • Mentor and train geotechnical project engineers
  • Ability to travel (up-to-date Passport and valid Driving License)
