Job Description: Charity Development Officer

We are seeking a skilled fundraising professional to join our team as a Charity Development Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and adults with severe learning disabilities.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive fundraising strategy with a focus on Trusts and Foundations fundraising. You will have proven experience of writing successful grant applications, meeting targets and managing relationships with funders.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, able to craft compelling and persuasive proposals and reports, and produce high-quality written materials tailored to different audiences. If you have a passion for fundraising and making a difference, we would love to hear from you

About the Role:
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive fundraising strategy with a focus on Trusts and Foundations fundraising
- Lead on ensuring sufficient funding for the charity's sustainability and core activities
- Manage relationships with existing funders and identify new opportunities
- Write successful grant applications and reports

About You:
- Experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of securing funds from Trusts and Foundations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
