- Prepare for and facilitate board meetings, utilizing expertise to ensure smooth operation and adherence to governance protocols.
- Offer corporate governance advice for the incorporation of companies and maintain accurate statutory records.
- Prepare and file necessary documentation with regulatory bodies such as Companies House, guaranteeing timely compliance.
- Support due diligence efforts and manage data rooms for corporate transactions, leveraging technical skills to drive efficiency.
- Conduct company and completion searches to assist with legal processes, applying knowledge to drive results.
- Provide advice and support to property management companies, including assistance with handovers, fostering strong relationships.
- Assist with corporate governance tasks related to transactions, including the use of digital signing platforms like DocuSign, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate governance and company secretarial roles, or demonstrable skills and experience in these areas.
- Solid understanding of the Companies Act 2006 and basic corporate governance requirements, with a keen eye for detail.
- Highly organized with strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to work occasional long hours as required, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- Specific qualifications in Company Secretarial work are desirable, or a keen interest in obtaining them, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
