Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Head to lead the day-to-day operations of our wealth management practice in Wokingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative functions, paraplanning, and client service teams to ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the operations of the practice, including administrative functions, paraplanning, and client service.
  • Diary Management: Manage the diaries of the Managing Directors, including contacting clients, booking meetings, and preparing meeting packs.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and support a team, providing guidance, training, performance feedback, and helping with any issues.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, addressing enquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including calling and booking meetings with prospective clients.
  • Event Planning: Plan and execute client events to enhance relationships and drive business growth.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party providers to ensure efficient receipt of client funds.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the pipeline and provide weekly updates on progress, focusing on high-priority cases.
  • Management Information: Provide management information to the Directors during weekly meetings.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with financial advisors and other team members to optimize workflow and enhance client experiences.
  • Client Onboarding: Oversee client onboarding processes, account maintenance, and reporting activities.
  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in wealth management or financial services, with a proven track record of success in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of financial planning regulations.
  • Leadership: Previous experience managing a team.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Organisation: Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with wealth management software platforms (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Adaptability: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional Development: Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
