Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and high-quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase.
  • Support and coordinate care within the operating department, ensuring efficient and effective patient flow.
  • Provide clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care and team performance.
  • Lead patient care delivery during assigned lists or specified periods, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post-registration qualification relevant to the functional specialty, such as Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification.
  • ENB 998 and/or mentorship course, Approved anaesthetic course, and ILS certification.
  • Orthopaedic skills and mentorship qualification.
  • Experience in an acute healthcare environment, with a proven track record of managing and leading clinical teams.
