**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Child Protection Specialist to join our team in Enfield. As a key member of the MASH Team, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments and providing social work services to users and carers. You will also work collaboratively with other workers and agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake assessments and provide social work services to users and carers arising out of the council's statutory duties and powers under legislation.
  • To work in accordance with local government guidelines and make appropriate use of Group and independent resources.
  • To participate in duty team/or rota completing contacts, referrals and undertaking MASH enquiries to determine threshold.
  • To implement safety planning plans, involving service users and liaising with other workers and agencies as appropriate.
  • To be aware of the resources available within the specialist area, including other sources of funding so that the maximum benefit may be obtained for service users.
  • To comply with the Children Services recording policy, and to complete appropriate forms and documents as required.
  • To undertake training as required.
  • To carry out responsibilities with due regard to the Council's Equal Opportunities/Race Equality and Health and Safety Policies as an integral part of the post.
  • To support the Deputy Team Manager and Team Manager in developing the team and represent Children Services as required.
  • To carry out all accountabilities in compliance with the Council's Policies and Procedures.
