  • We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Engineer to join our Kent Wheelchair Service team.">

The successful candidate will use their clinical and technical skills to assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs, and prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

The role involves working closely with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality service performance, as well as liaising with service user groups and other stakeholders to facilitate joint working and improve service user outcomes.

A track record of using analytical, engineering, and practical skills to solve problems for service users in relation to their mobility equipment is essential.

">

Additional responsibilities include undertaking and documenting risk assessments, providing support for internal and external training programmes, and contributing to the development of internal training resources.

">

Please note that this role requires a full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle and willingness to drive vehicles (vans) as necessary.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £48,116 and £55,061 FTE, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits including Company Pension Scheme, 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), Childcare Voucher Scheme, and free on-site parking.

The role is based in Ashford/Gillingham, offering flexible working arrangements including part-time hours (5 hours/week) considered.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a posture and mobility service, with knowledge of manual and powered wheelchairs. Additionally, a strong background in clinical and technical skills, analytical problem-solving, and effective communication is required.

Essential Requirements

A full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle is mandatory, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality service performance.
