About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Technology Professional to join our team in Kent. As a Rehabilitation Engineer, you will work closely with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality service performance. Your technical expertise will be essential in assessing mobility needs, prescribing wheelchairs, and ensuring compliance with medical devices regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs
  • To prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories
  • To ensure compliance with applicable medical devices regulations
  • To work with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver contractual service performance of a high quality

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, rehabilitation technology)
  • Proven experience in working with patients with long-term or deteriorating medical conditions
  • Knowledge of manual and powered wheelchairs, as well as related accessories
  • Excellent analytical, engineering, and practical skills
  • Ability to use digital systems and software for record-keeping and analysis of service performance
