About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Leader to join our team at Wigan Council. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and embedding forward-thinking procurement practice across the diverse range of commissioning and contractual opportunities across the Council.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the translation and implementation of the Procurement Act 2023, making the most of the opportunities that the new legislation brings for our Borough.
  • Drive forward the strategic missions of the Council through every procurement and commissioning opportunity.
  • Work in an environment that welcomes and actively encourages innovation, shaping the role around your expertise, passion, and skill mix within the broader leadership team.
