Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead project teams or work streams as part of larger projects, delivering results through others.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery on client assignments.
  • Build long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients.
  • Liaise with service line teams, account teams, and functional specialists.
  • Communicate effectively and focus on efficient, collaborative, and quality delivery.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with UK Government and Local Authority organizations, particularly Flood Risk Asset Management Authorities, Environment Agency, and/or Water Companies.
  • Project management and/or programme management experience, adding value from initial strategic planning to implementation, construction, and delivery in the context of infrastructure projects and programmes.
  • Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Deliver projects within a technically complex environment while ensuring high levels of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to rapidly understand complex problems and shape them into workable solutions for delivery.
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality output against stated business and technical project objectives and meet tight deadlines safely.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
  • Previous experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts would be highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors on civil engineering projects.
  • Experience of Engineering/Asset Management.
  • Driving license ideally required as some driving may be necessary.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project management certification (APM or PRINCE2).
  • Degree or HND qualification in an engineering or construction field.
  • CITB Site Management Safety Training Course would also be desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
