Capital Markets Analyst Graduate

We are seeking a highly skilled and numerate graduate to join our team as a Capital Markets Analyst Graduate. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial data and MI modelling, with a proven track record of providing analytical support to businesses.

The role involves providing financial modelling and review of business opportunities, as well as providing analytical and administrative support. The successful candidate will be involved in management sales reporting and tracking, providing financial information, insight, and analysis to management to enable timely and effective decision making.

The ideal candidate will have developed and proven analytical skills, with a strong understanding of economics supporting UK business. They will also have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI for data extraction and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial modelling and review of business opportunities
  • Providing analytical and administrative support
  • Management sales reporting and tracking
  • Providing financial information, insight, and analysis to management
  • Ad hoc reporting on all elements of trade deals
  • Cost analysis on the c.1,300 broking team group-wide
  • Liaising with the data scientist team to extract data from bespoke database
  • Analysing, identifying, and supporting continuous changes and improvements to broking data
  • Supporting the business with broking financial systems
  • Contributing to key projects and new initiatives
  • Supporting other administrative functions including financial analysis of the broking segment
  • Setting up and reporting of Capital and signage spend
  • Business Intelligence Reporting

Requirements:

  • Developed and proven analytical skills
  • Understanding of economics supporting UK business
  • Financially numerate with strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data extraction and analysis
  • Excel (to Vlookup/Pivot table standard) is essential
  • Good interpersonal skills
