We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group - IT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of nuclear power plant Emergency and Ultimate Diesel Generators (EDG/UDG) to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and initiation of complex, high-value, turn-key contract packages.
- Evaluate and direct technical work associated with diesel fuel oil, lubrication oil, and cooling systems.
- Apply the highest nuclear safety standards to ensure achievement of system performance in all required conditions.
- Support the development of Invitation-To-Tender (ITT) technical documents and Tender evaluation activities.
- Organise and manage supplier interactions to clarify technical details.
- Manage technical configuration details, including updates to technical specification and associated technical delivery documents.
- Perform technical investigations and impact analyses for design options/changes.
- Support/manage contract kick-off activities, including creation of technical briefing packs and workshops.
- Support/manage contract execution activities, including surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities.
- Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design.
- Sound understanding of nuclear equipment regulations such as RCC-E.
- Experience with mechanical systems, including piping, valves, tanks.
- Experience with engine/fluid cooling systems and components.
- Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as NEC/FIDIC.
