GKN Aerospace is a leading tier one aerospace supplier of systems and components, and we're looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality performance of suppliers, performing reviews, and taking actions to ensure continuous compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer and communicate product and system requirements to suppliers
• Participate in qualification plans and orchestrate the process to achieve qualified products on time
• Manage the supply chain from a quality performance aspect, serve as a liaison for suppliers, and suggest structural quality and process improvements
• Collaborate with other engineers in a team environment to ensure all requirements are met
• Assure and monitor product risk mitigation and quality planning/control at suppliers
• Manage engineering source substantiation activities at suppliers with designing organisations
• Review supplier first articles and communicate to SQE at designing organisations
• Have frequent contact with suppliers to monitor actions within quality
• Analyse suppliers' quality performance and identify improvement areas, drive improvement activities
• Handle supplier non-conformance and escapes, including root cause investigation, containment, and corrective actions
• Issue authorisations of 'Request for Pre-Release'
• Participate in supplier work transfer evaluation and monitoring
• Perform and follow up supplier assessments, industrial reviews, and evaluations when qualified
• Support concurrent engineering between GKN and suppliers (design for manufacturing)
• Support cost engineering/cost reduction activities by interacting with both suppliers and GKN ME/design/technical experts
• Support in supplier feedback
• Evaluate and approve new release agents and monitor release agent performance

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong experience in aerospace quality requirements, skilled in root cause analysis, and knowledgeable in PPAP and APQP. You will also need to be well-organised, target-oriented, and outgoing with good communication skills.
